Configuration Management Specialist

Rite-Solutions is currently seeking skilled and motivated candidates for a Configuration Management Specialist. The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division, Newport (NUWCDIVNPT), Code 25, is the Submarine CANES Central Design Authority (CDA) and the Submarine Local Area Network (SubLAN) program Technical Development Authority (TDA), providing technical, engineering, and administrative services in the development, engineering, subsystem integration, platform integration, installation, modernization, maintenance, configuration management, and documentation for the CANES and SubLAN system activities and associated programs.

Program Duties and Responsibilities:

• Schedule and maintain lab equipment for SubLAN/CANES personnel to perform development, test, and installation.
• Make hardware available for fleet support (help desk, inhouse software builds, and onboard installations) on an as needed basis and according to onsite schedules.
• Receive hardware for lab and shipboard installation, perform BIOS updates on server.
• Prepare hard drives for builds, once complete prepare hardware for shipment.
• Track utilization of all hardware and lab laptops located within the SubLAN/CANES laboratory.
• Prepare equipment for shipment to onboard installation sites, tracking serial numbers, packaging, and preparation of SF1149.
• Receive, inspect, and deliver all hardware/software for ship sets.
• Interface with customers to understand and analyze their business needs and requirements.
• Develop and maintain spreadsheet of Rack Layouts and configuration.

Requirements/Skills:

• High School diploma and 1-5 years of experience
• Good oral and written communications skills including communications with peers, project team members, and customers.
• Maintain a sufficient level of expertise with appropriate operating systems and their capabilities.
• Position requires U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance
