Rite-Solutions, Inc., growing and innovative CMMI Level III software and systems engineering company, is seeking skilled and motivated IT Support Technician candidates in the Middletown, RI area.
Job Description Rite-Solutions is seeking an IT Support Technician with Windows 10 Administration and 2008/2008R2/2012/2012R2 Server Operating Systems experience for on-site support at the Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport (NUWCDIVNPT). The Technician will provide support with regards to Information Technology (IT) and Information Assurance (IA)/Cybersecurity requirements and security of information systems.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Excellent customer service, interpersonal, communication skills
- Provide contact and problem resolution for users with hardware, software and applications problems
- Extensive knowledge of and experience with Windows devices and support of Windows OS
- Extensive knowledge of implementing and supporting Microsoft Windows technologies (2008/2008R2/2012/2012R2 Server Operating Systems)
- General knowledge of Active Directory Group Policy development and implementation
- General knowledge implementing Microsoft server hardening principles and practices
- General knowledge of Microsoft Deployment Toolkit and Windows Development Services
- General knowledge of command prompt and PowerShell
- Familiarity in implementing DISA Security Technical Implementation Guidelines
- Provide PC computer compliance and technical support for, software and peripherals and support maintenance of internal custom applications
- Routine hardware set up, troubleshooting and replacement; software installation and evaluation; and use of various spreadsheet, word processing and database application programs
- Perform virus detection and cleaning
- Routine research and implementation of compliance solutions in strict accordance with established guidelines
- Utilize ticketing system to document and prioritize work
- Contribute to Technical Support documentation of resolutions, processes, and procedures
- Able and willing to learn new, as well as existing technologies
- Be a contributing member of a Technical Team
Skill-set
- Candidate must be certified (CompTIA Security+ CE and Win 7/10 or Sys Admin 2008/2012 Server Certifications)
- Excellent communication skills required
- Experience with Active Directory and Remote Desktop
Additional Requirements
- 8+ years of experience
- Routinely moves and transports equipment weighing up to 25 lbs. from one location to another
- Position requires U.S. Citizenship
