We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Talent Acquisition Specialist. This is a full-time position located in Middletown, RI.

Job Description:

We are looking for a Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our HR department and manage our full-cycle recruiting processes. Talent Acquisition Specialist responsibilities include identifying current and future hiring needs, advertising job openings online and designing employee referral programs. To be successful in this role, you should have an HR academic background along with work experience in sourcing, interviewing and evaluating candidates. You will be responsible for helping us build a strong employer brand and ensure we provide a positive candidate experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with hiring managers to identify staffing needs in different areas and departments
  • Advertise job openings on careers pages, job boards and social networks (e.g. LinkedIn)
  • Ensure the staffing needs of the company are being met, with a long-term talent strategy in mind
  • Implement sourcing strategies to build pipelines of potential applicants
  • Actively source candidates through online channels (e.g. professional networks and portfolio sites)
  • Screen resumes and applications and update candidates on hiring processes
  • Interview candidates during various hiring stages, including phone, first-round and second-round interviews
  • Evaluate candidates based on their interview and assignment performance
  • Report to hiring managers and HR managers on the status of open positions
  • Determine qualification criteria for each position
  • Analyze turnover and retention rates to forecast hiring needs
  • Update job descriptions (e.g. add tasks or modify requirements)
  • Answer candidates' inquiries regarding the application process
  • Provide interview feedback, when necessary and appropriate
  • Support employee referral bonus program
  • Participate in job fairs to boost company's reputation
  • Help new hires onboard

Requirements;

  • Must have a Bachelor degree in a related field. Some combination of education and experience will be considered for those without a completed degree
  • Proven work experience as a Talent Acquisition Specialist, Recruiter or similar role for professional service positions like IT, Engineering, Program Management, etc.
  • Solid understanding of full-cycle recruiting
  • Strong knowledge of sourcing techniques (job boards, crafting enticing messages, Boolean searches, reverse engineering profiles, networking, competitor targeting, etc.)
  • Experience using various interview formats (e.g. phone, structured, group)
  • Quick study, capable of learning quickly about a variety of roles and the ideal candidate profiles
  • Able to effectively manage multiple candidates and/or requisitions at various stages in the process
  • Ability to work independently and with a team
  • Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems and resume databases
  • Good knowledge of labor legislation
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
