Technical Writer

Rite-Solutions, Inc., a growing and innovative CMMI Level 3 software and systems engineering company, is seeking skilled and motivated Technical Writer and Supervisory Technical Writer candidates for immediate openings.  This position may be located on-site at the customer location in Naval Undersea Warfare Center Newport, RI, at a Naval Facility or in one of our offices.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

• Work with the Government program managers and our technical staff to support program management tasks and implementation.
• Assist in the development of program plans, program schedules, and a variety of technical work products in support of various EW projects.
• Develop, contribute, maintain and modify documents such as Specification Requirements Verification Matrices, and Performance Specifications.
• Oversee and ensure compliance with style guides and ISO and CMMI processes to provide a consistent approach to documentation of processes and procedures.
• May be assigned to several technical areas to obtain an in-depth overarching understanding of technical approach
• Support meetings to support development or documentation reviews.

Requirements: 

• BS degree in any field preferred, will consider an AS with sufficient direct Technical Experience
• Familiarity with EW and/or Imaging systems is desirable
• Familiarity with MS office applications, especially WORD, POWERPOINT, and VISIO
• Expert command of the English language and a basic grasp of DoD or Navy technical terminology
• Knowledge and experience with practices and procedures for CMMI Software Development Level 3 or greater is a plus
• Must be able to work in a team environment
• Position requires U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain a security clearance with the US government. An active security clearance is strongly preferred
