Virtualization Administrator

Rite-Solutions, Inc., a growing and innovative CMMI Level 3 software and systems engineering company, is seeking a skilled and motivated Virtualization Administrator candidate in the Dahlgren, VA area.  This opening is a full-time position providing network administration support to the Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Dahlgren.  NSWC Dahlgren provides system administration support on commercial and tactical developmental host networks, virtual environments, cloud environments, and computer systems for a variety of customers. The Virtualization Administrator position detailed here is for work currently being bid. Should the contract be awarded, we will be hiring for the type of future employee described below.

Job Description

The Virtualization Administrator acts as a Subject Matter Expert concerning the maintenance, upgrade, installation and configuration of multiple Information Technology (IT) networks.  Specific duties include:

• Provide technical support to the computers, servers and network operations within the on-premise data center and cloud
• Provide technical support for implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of SharePoint, Project, Office Web Apps and Team Foundation Server within the on-premise data center and cloud
• Provide technical support for installation, implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of Engineering Tools, Applications and Plug-ins within the on-premise data center and cloud
• Perform database management using Microsoft SQL and Oracle to store and organize data

Requirements

• 10 years of System Architecture and Engineering experience
• 5 years of IT Infrastructure Architecture in cloud, servers, storage and networking.
• 3 years of experience with DoD Government Cloud
• 3 years of experience designing and implementing virtual data center infrastructure solutions
• 3 years of experience troubleshooting and supporting data center version of VMWare Data Center Products, VMWare Virtual Desktop Products or Microsoft Hyper-V
• 3 years of Experience implementing automation & configuration management technologies such as PowerShell and other scripting/automation technologies
• 3 years of experience in understanding of information technology disciplines and applications including virtualization, storage, networking, security, application architecture, and cloud technologies
• 3 years of experience in designing, implementing, and/or managing DoD government cloud infrastructure solutions. Maintain and support an Enterprise Virtual Environment hosting over 500 Virtual Machines
• 3 years of experience in working as part of Virtualization Engineering team to convert requirements into solutions based on IT standards and usage guidelines
• 3 years of experience in researching and designing proof-of-concepts to assess and build new capabilities that add business value
• 2 years of experience in collaborating with various IT Teams to ensure best practices are followed and the appropriate support models are established prior to operational transition
• 2 years of experience working departmental team(s) to formulate, schedule, and complete System improvement/enhancement projects in line with infrastructure plans and strategies
• Must possess appropriate Cybersecurity Workforce certification IAW DoD 8570.01M
• Must possess a Secret security clearance
• Position requires U.S. Citizenship
